| Abstract: | Zen epiphany has profound influence on the culture of traditional Chinese musical instruments. By absorbing ideological fruits of Zen epiphany, the culture of traditional Chinese musical instruments has formed its own outstanding features: introspective, instant, intuitive and lingering, and its topmost aesthetic state is directly based on the "meaning beyond word itself" theory of Zen epiphany. The author puts forward 2 important issues faced by contemporary traditional Chinese musical instruments: 1. Taking "musical aesthetic education" as the spot for breakthrough and solving the problem of lagging behind of contemporary traditional Chinese musical instruments; 2. The epiphany mode of thinking of the culture of traditional Chinese musical instruments, which digs deeply the great potentials of human talent, can achieve more than regular musical training and performance. |
