| Abstract: | ZhangZai’s ideal realm belonged to humanitarianism and was incompatible with asceticism. Contrasted with other Neo Confucians who were generally intoxicated with inner world, ZhangZai took the road back to original Confucianism. He considered the ideal realm as one where there is no selfishness. So a unique scene was shaped up. |
