“火烧船厂”与政府的救灾活动——以宣统三年吉林省城大火为中心

吉林市在历史上火灾频发，宣统三年（1911年）的大火即是其中较大的一次。在这次火灾中，全城三分之二被烧，房屋被焚5万余间。此次大火给吉林省城带来经济、文化等方面的损失和深远影响以及该城在东北区域内经济地位变化的影响是无法用数字估量的。同时，此次大火的发生，政府扑救不力难辞其咎。不过灾后政府在财力有限的情况下，积极进行多项救灾活动，成效还是比较显著的。
