论西方公益伦理思想的两大历史传统

社会公益事业是一项需要道德支撑的普遍的社会事业。每一种伦理价值观或社会道德的追求,都决定着社会公益事业的不同的价值取向,决定着该社会公益制度的性质及其实现方式。西方文化是由两大历史传统即古希腊罗马传统和基督教传统融合而成,自然而然,通过考察西方公益伦理思想的主体精神,我们也可以发现其自然浮现的所谓“古希腊罗马传统”和“基督教传统”两大公益伦理传统渊源。

On the Two Historical Traditions of Public Welfare Ethical Thought in Western Countries

Social public welfare is a common social cause needing moral support.Every pursuit of ethical value or social morality determines the various value orientations of social public welfare,the nature of social public system and its realization ways.The Western culture is composed of two historical traditions,i.e.the integration of ancient Roman tradition with the Christianity tradition.By examining the main spirit embodied in the Western public welfare ethical thought,we can find the traditional origins of the two public welfare ethics,the so-called "ancient Roman tradition" and "Christianity tradition",which have come of themselves.
