在WTO环境下台湾小农户转型策略与做法

本文利用 Michael E.Porter之竞争五力观念 ,评估台湾小农户提升竞争力之各种可行策略 ,并针对小农之优、劣势提出在 WTO环境下 ,小农转型的途径与做法 ,研究显示小农户应发挥“小而美、小而省、小而快”之功能 ,结合文化、休闲与生态资源 ,并争取台湾民众对本土农业的认同与支持 ,则台湾农业将可持续生存与发展。

Diversification Strategy and Approaches for the Small Farm in Taiwan: Coping With the Challenge of Joining the World Trade Organization (WTO)

This research is based on using the competition concept of Michael E. Porter to evaluate the promotion strategies and related competition power of the small farm in Taiwan. Based on the SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat) analysis, the research proposes different diversification strategies and approaches. It is concluded that the small farm in Taiwan is small in size but it can be "Elite, Economical and Efficient." It indicates that the agriculture in Taiwan can combine its cultural, leisure, and ecological resources for the support of Taiwan's sustainable development. The diversification strategies discussed for the small farm in Taiwan are identified as a way to cope with the challenge of joining the World Trade Organization (WTO).
