| Abstract: | Based on James Phelan's rhetorical narrative theories,the paper offered an attempted reading from three aspects of the narrative effects of the instabilities in the progression of Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad-one of the fundamental elements upon which the progression is built with a purpose to read from a quite new perspective of rhetoric,of the whole work. |
