Bearing Witness to the Infinite: Nancy and Levinas

This article compares Nancy and Levinas’s rethinkings of fraternity, one in terms of a “deconstruction of Christianity”, the other in terms of Talmudic Judaism. Through a reading of Nancy’s work the article questions the compatibility of his non‐incarnational understanding of fraternity with his commitment to revolutionary politics.
