滥用敬称·误读旧称·不识简称──《围城(节选)》中的三处"硬伤"及其编校责任

孙昕光主编的《大学语文》是高等教育出版社出版的"国家级规划教材",其"阅读部分"节选了钱锺书的小说《围城》。由于出版社的编辑和校对工作不到位,课文中至少存在着三处文本"硬伤":其一,原著滥用敬称,说"汪处厚"是"汪次长的令伯",编选者听之任之,以讹传讹;其二,编选者误读旧称,偷换概念,改原著中的"论理学"为"伦理学";其三,编选者不识简称,擅自扩大外延,改原著中的"比国女人"为"外国女人"。由此看来,"规划教材"的编写者、审订者和出版者们还没有真正担负起自己的职业责任。

Abusing the Honorific, Misreading the Old Terminology, Unknowing the Abbreviation──Three Mistakes in Fortress Besieged and Related Responsibilities

Part of Fortress Besieged written by Qian Zhongshu was selected in College Chinese edited by Sun Xinguang,as national programming textbook,which was published by Higher Education Press.Because of the mis- play of edit and collation,there are at least three mistakes in the text:Firstly,honorific was abused in original work,such as"Wang Chuhou"was thought as"your uncle of Vice-minister Wang",but the editor didn't search for deep understanding and spread the erroneous message.Secondly,the editor misread the old terminology and inter- changed with different concept.Such as.in this book the editor interchanged"Logic"with"Ethnics".Thirdly,the editor didn't know abbreviation and expanded the extension arbitrarily,so he changed"Belgian woman"into"foreign woman".Therefore,we can find that the principals of programming textbook did not take their professional respon- sibilities.
