少数民族传统文化多样性和生物多样性是滇西北"三江并流"地区诞生的一对孪生兄弟,它们有着割不断的联系。各少数民族在长期艰苦的探索中,不断深化对这一联系的认识。他们不仅在生产活动中以大自然提供的物质为工具,创造丰富多彩的物质文化并同时保护大自然,而且在生活中把大自然视为朋友,以淳厚的友情珍爱大自然。发展到精神世界里,他们把大自然尊为心中的神灵,创造了独具特色的精神文化。在历史上,各民族在适应自然环境的历程中产生的优秀传统文化,保护了生物多样性,维护了生态平衡,促进了各民族自身的发展。

On the Protection of the Variety of the Traditional Minority Cultures and Bio-resources in the Three-parallel-running-river Area

The variety of traditional minority cultures and the variety of the bio-resources are inseparable twins in northwest Yunnan. The minority nationalities in this area have long been trying to have a thorough understanding of this relationship. They have not only obtained much material wealth by using the natural resources but also protected Nature. They treat Nature both as friend and as God. Through adapting to Nature and protecting the variety of the bio-resources, the minority nationalities here have created their fine traditional cultures and maintained an ecological balance, which in turn help their own development.
