汉学名著安文思《中国新志》英译者辩误

葡萄牙在华耶稣会士安文思的《中国新志》1688年出版,成为欧洲汉学发展史上的标志性著作。英国作为欧洲大陆汉学圈的一员自然受到了该部著作的深刻影响。《中国新志》的英译本于同年出版。但国内外学术界对该译本的译者、版本问题存在着一些谬误,文章依据新发现的史料就此展开考证,以期还原一部分史实真相,促进国际学术交流。

Correcting the Mistakes in the English Version of Nouvelle Relation de la Chine——A Masterpiece of Han Dynasty Written by Gabriel de Magalhaes

Gabriel de Magalhaes, one of Portugal Jesuits in China, his famous work Nouvelle relation de la Chine was published in 1688, which became a landmark work in the Sinology development history. Britain, as one of members in European Sinology circle, was doomed to be affected by this important work deeply. The English version of this book was published in the same year. But International scholars made some mistakes about the translator and the version of this English version. My thesis will correct some misleading parts of the English version of Nouvelle relation de la Chine based on the newly-found data in order to restore some historical reality of this work and to promote the international academic exchange.
