Parody: Wandering Between Tradition and Innovation

The paper tends to study parody synchronically and diachronically, and analyzes the significance of parody in different literature periods, especially the cause of the preference of postmodern literature for parody. The analyses also extend to the classification of parody and its historical inference. Based on this, the paper draws a conclusion that parody is the manifestation of the law of literature history and a reaction of artists on the literature crisis. It is both a back to tradition and a try of innovation.
