租界、"洋旗报"与近代报业——中国近代新闻事业生存环境变迁的一个独特视角

近代报业在中国社会的近代化的过程中起过积极的作用。中国的近代报业是外国人以租界为阵地,利用他们的特权创办起来的,因而是帝国主义侵略的产物。然而近代报刊所折射出来的巨大作用,吸引了那些有忧患意识的人士积极投身其中。为应付清政府的严酷控制,他们屡屡或在租界办报,或创办“洋旗报”。租界和“洋旗报”在近代中国成了国人就办报问题与政府展开“博弈”的手段。

Foreign Leased Territory, "Foreigner-owned" and Modern Press——A Special Angle on the Changes of China's Modern Journalism

Modern press has played an important role in the process of modernization of China's society.Foreigners founded modern newspapers in their leased territory with their privilege.But the function of modern newspapers attracted those people who showed great concern about China's future.In order to deal with government's strict control,they always established newspapers in the foreign leased territory,and made their papers owned by foreigners.Those measures became important methods against the Qing Dynasty.
