论古史辨的评价及其相关问题——林甘泉先生访问记

解放以后对“古史辨”没有客观公正的评价 ,这与当时的政治气氛有关 ,但总的来说评价还是比较积极的。胡绳 195 7年说“古史辨”的“疑古精神是当时反封建思潮的一个侧面”,1993年又说顾颉刚是“马克思主义的朋友”,评价很高。“古史辨”在思想启蒙方面有积极意义 ,是思想解放的一个环节 ,这一点应该充分肯定。“古史辨”所受到的诟病是说它把古史砍掉几千年 ,这其实是误解。说它是“民族虚无主义”也不对。“古史辨”疑古所疑的主要是三皇五帝的古史系统 ,并不是对一切古史都怀疑。“古史辨”之前已有疑古 ,之后也应该有疑古精神。不能把信古、疑古、释古截然分开和绝对化 ,中国古代史研究也不是这三个阶段的问题。“走出疑古时代”的提法不合适。
