全球化与多元化——关于文化普遍主义与文化特殊主义之争的思考

本文就经济全球化趋势下世界多元文化的命运问题 ,作出了一点思考。认为文化 ,特别是多元文化之间的相互关系问题 ,业已成为当代世界发展的一个突出问题 ;在如何对待全球化的价值导向和文化格局方面 ,普遍主义、特殊主义两种不同的态度会导致不同的结果。文章分析了这两种基本态度各自的思想理论前提、特征和主要表现 ,提出了一系列需要思考和回答的理论问题 ,并以“9.1 1”事件为例明确地指出 ,过于极端化的文化价值普遍主义立场 ,是可能引发国际恶性冲突的重要根源。因此主张探索一种新的文化价值选择思路

Globalization and Pluralism——Considerations on the debate on culturul universalism and cultural particularism

This article undertakes some reflections on the fate of pluralistic cultures in the world against the background of economic globalization, proposing that the issue of interrelations between pluralistic cultures in particular has become an important issue for the development of the contemporary world. Different attitudes of universalism and particularism will lead to different results concerning the value orientation and cultural pattern of globalization. This article analyzes the ideological and theoretical premises, characteristics and main manifestations of the two basic attitudes, proposing a series of theoretical issues to be reflected on and resolved. An excessively extreme universalist position of cultural value is likely to be the major cause of vicious international conflicts. Hence, exploration of an alternative way of thinking for a new cultural value is proposed.
