| Abstract: | Red, which corresponds to fire, symbolizes good fortune and joy. Red is found virtually everywhere in China during Chinese New Year, other holidays and family gatherings. Red envelopes, which contain monetary gifts, are given during holidays or special occasions. The color red on the packet symbolizes good luck. Now, even after thousands of years, the color red remains popular with Chinese people, especially for celebrations, designs and decorations. |
