黄遵宪与太平天国

太平天国两次攻下嘉应州，对青年黄遵宪及其家庭造成了灾难性打击，但他对太平天国革命却没有太多的仇恨；相反他在感情上同情太平天国，而对清军则给予深刻的揭露和批判，表现出极度的憎恨和厌恶。这种现象意味着一段不为人知的历史隐情：太平天国民族革命的思想和嘉应州人民与太平天国将士特殊的感情，曾一度动摇了清政府在粤东的政治权威和思想统治。

Huang Zunxian and the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom

The army of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom twice attacked and occupied Jiaying, a heavy blow to the youth Huang Zunxian and his family. However, instead of a hatred for the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom revolution, Huang sympathized it. He profoundly exposed and criticized the Qing government army, shovnng his deep hatred and disgust. It is the historical fact, rarely known to people, that the nation-al revolutionary thought and the special emotional relationship betvveen the Jiaying people and the army men of the Taiping Heavenh/ Kingdom once wavered the political and ideological control of the Qing government over the people in the eastern part of Guangdong.
