The Reports and Publicity of Eliminating Traitors in Ta Kung Pao at the Beginning of Anti-Japanese War

Analyzing the traits, promotion methods and the influence on public opinion of the reports on eliminating traitors in Ta Kung Pao during the early stage of the Anti-Japanese War, the paper unveiled the hatred for traitors and the support of the campaign of eliminating traitors of the national government and its people, which inspired popular morale for resisting the enemy and eliminating traitors, created a social atmosphere of positive public opinion, constituted a deterrent for collaborators and traitors who had already surrendered or was about to surrender to the enemy, and played an important role in the military and civilian resisting Japanese invasion in Kuomintang areas and the occupied areas.
