| 摘 要： | 《从奥米勒斯城出走的人》是一部颇具讽喻内蕴的小说。小说以文学化的方式针对实用主义哲学对人类生活理想的构想进行了富有批判性的揭示与质疑。小说的故事本身、小说的标题设置、小说的结尾都包含着丰富的讽喻色彩。

| Abstract: | The One Who Walks Away from Omelas is an allegory of pragmatic morality.Based on William James' hypothesis of ideal human society,the novel not only doubts and criticizes the pragmatic views on happiness and morality but also emphasizes a humane concern on each individual in the construction of a harmonious happy society.Through close reading of the text,this paper aims to analyze the literal and symbolic meaning of the allegorical story in aspect of the story itself,the title and the ending of the novel. |
