Increasingly Intimate Association of Zhang Shizhao with CPC

The relationship between Zhang Shizhao and the Communist Party of China (CPC) with Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai as the leading representatives goes through a deepening process. The increasingly intimate association of Zhang with CPC can be explained by three reasons. First, Zhang, with his strong sense of justice and independent thinking, hated to go along with the Northern Warlords and the Kuomintang politicians. Secondly, Zhang, as a democratic patriot, shared with CPC in patriotism. Thirdly, the CPC's policy of united front and the meticulous care shown by CPC towards non-party democrats have worked out a conversion in his way of thinking.
