| 摘 要： | 文章试图通过对低调陈述语义分析,利用关联理论的解释力,探讨低调陈述运作的基本方式。并得出结论: 低调陈述是一种通过语义的不相容性、极性对立、关系对立、下义关系的变化,以语境为框架,通过语用相关性推理得出的一种特殊会话含义。

| Abstract: | With the semantic analysis of understatement, this paper aims to discuss how relevent theory can be employed to interpret the working mechanism of understatement. The conclusion is: understatement is one of the particularized conversational implicature, which treats context as its frame, the gradable contrast, relational contrast and hyponymy as its semantic features. The meaning of understatement is much concerned with the pragmatic reference. |
