英语电影片名翻译中汉语传统文化的凸现

摘    要:电影片名具有商业广告特征,最终目的是吸引观众.片名的功能决定其翻译的"归化"策略取向."归化"处理后能否吸引中国观众,主要看译名是否适应汉语文化的思维习惯和审美心理.面对源语观众和译语受众在文化背景上的差异,一个成功的译名往往是舍异求同,巧妙借用独具汉语特色的文化意象、四字成语、文言雅词或古代诗词的结果,使汉传统文化得以凸现,让汉语观众心领神会.

Abstract:In terms of film-title translation from English to Chinese,functions of a film-title significantly determine its Chinese-orientated domestication strategy,and audience's acceptance largely depends on its adaptation to Chinese culture.Typical Chinese images,four-character set phrases and Tang-Song poetry feature very largely in the success of film-title translations,which highly embody Chinese culture and appeal to Chinese audience.
