| 摘 要： | 从英语谚语产生的文化背景、特点的角度，讨论了英语谚 语的翻译问题，认为英语谚语是英语民族数千年文化积淀的产物，富有深刻的文化内涵，翻 译 英语谚语应该忠实传递它们的文化信息，以修辞、句法和美学信息的文化归、异兼容的手法 处理之。

| Abstract: | From the cultural ba ckground and the characteristics of the proverbs,the paper discusses the transla tion of English proverbs into Chinese.English proverbs are the product of Englis h culture that the nation has accumulated through thousands of years.It is full of deep cultural connotations.Translation of English provebs should be f aithful to their cultural information.This paper presents some basic principles and approaches of the translaton of English proverbs in confomity with the culture from the aspects of rhetoric,syntax and aestheric information. |
