20世纪以来《聊斋志异》海外研究综述

20世纪之前,海外主要是对《聊斋志异》进行翻译和介绍,未展开学术方面的研究。20世纪以来,海外对《聊斋志异》主要进行了文献考证、思想艺术与社会文化价值等方面的研究。《聊斋志异》的海外研究,弥补了国内研究文献的不足,深化了中外文学与文化等方面的比较,拓展了研究路径和视角。比较而言,《聊斋志异》海外研究的文学性、艺术性、表象性研究数量较少,有的存在以偏概全、以虚代实等弊端。

A Survey of Overseas Study on Strange Tales of Liaozhai since the 20th Century

Before 1900s,Strange Tales of Liaozhai had been translated and introduced to overseas readers but there was no academic research on it.Since 1900s,overseas study on Strange Tales of Liaozhai has mainly focused on textual study,artistic themes,social and cultural values.In general,the overseas research complements domestic study by undertaking comparison on Chinese and foreign literature and culture and expanding research perspectives and methods.However,overseas research has its limitations.First,there is insufficient study on the literary and artistic achievements and symbolism in the novel.Second,some studies take a part for the whole and some mix the real with the imaginary in interpreting the novel.
