叙述形式的人文价值 ——《索菲的选择》的叙事结构分析

结构主义批评、叙述学理论往往局限于对作品形式的研究，而未能对作品进行价值判断。文学批评的出路应使文本研究和审美价值判断相结合，形式研究与内容研究相结合。小说《索菲的选择》中对聚焦、时空、场所等结构因素的安排，综合运用了现代小说与传统小说的技法。这虽然使作品历史的明晰性有所减弱，但却增强了作品的情感力度，有利于表现人与社会的紧张关系，从而将生活提高到哲理的层面上进行思考，真正达到了艺术创造中对结构因素的最高要求--“有意味的形式”。

The Humanistic Value of Narrative Form

Such theory as Structurism or Narratology usually limits itself to the study of the narrative form. We can't find the humanistic value in it. The ideal criticism should not only study text, but also find its aesthetic significance. We must unite the study of form and content. The Structure elements in %Sophie's Choice,% such as focalization, time and space, express deep emotion. The theme, a tense relation between the human and the world, is conveyed to us clearly. The narrative form of this novel is really a “meaning form”.
