| Abstract: | It presents a panoramic view of the dialogue between Chinese and Japanese scholars on the rapid development and prospect of communication studies in Asia. Questions addressed in the dialogue include： What is the current situation of rapid development of communication studies in Asia？ Why did Asian communication researchers fail to discontinue the dominance of Eurocentric communication paradigms？ What are the purpose and significance of Asian communication studies？ What indigenous cultural concepts can contribute to the development of Asian communication theories？ And how should communication studies in Asia be evaluated？ |
