| Abstract: | The necessity of modeling performance has now been acknowledged by some researchers in the field of language testing.This paper makes a critical evaluation of several existing performance models,reveals the problems embodied in each one,and proposes a model of some factors affecting performance in language testing.Such a discussion will undoubtedly further our understanding of the nature of performance,help improve the validity of performance tests and shed new light on language testing in our country. |
