The Birth Date and Other Supplementary Materials about Shen Zufen

Based on the adequate and accurate materials supplied by her husband, Cheng Qianfan, her daughter , Cheng Lize, and other kindred of her family, the birth date of Shen Zufen＇s is restored to the right year. For some private consideration, Shen enrolled her age in her autobiography two years younger than her actual age. Shen＇s husband, Chen Qianfan approves of recovering the real date. Some other necessary supplementary materials were also added to A Chronology Of Shen Zufen＇s Life. And several inaccurate records about Demonstrative Teaching or about her activities were revised so as to accord with history. Shen Zufen＇s loftiest moral character is her loyalty to our motherland, her cause, her family members and friends. She exhibited a strong will in face of dangers and difficulties, which established her as a model for female intellectuals. What is the most valuable is her poetry, which can be called epic.
