唐代北里妓研究

唐代长安平康坊之北里妓为京兆尹侍宴,提供乐舞服务,但与为地方官府侍宴的官妓不同,北里妓属于市井妓。她们多隶属乐籍,为乐户成员自愿充当,或来源于人口鬻卖。市井妓聚居于北里,与为京兆尹侍宴有关。随着政府对北里管理的加强,北里逐渐形成唐末的规模和规矩。孙棨《北里志》中所描绘的局面当是唐末北里之状况,非北里或长安市井妓素来之状况。

Research of the Bei Li Geishas in the Tang Dynasty

In the capital city Chang’an of the Tang Dynasty,it was geishas from music house(Jiao Fang) that entertained officials at feasts in the beginning,but later Legislated Geishas(Shijin Ji)served on those occasions rather than official geishas as people supposed.And because of this,Bei Li in Pingkang Fang of Chang’an became the only neighborhood of Legislated Geishas(Shijing Ji),which gradually generated a series of fixed rules that influenced after ages.It must be pointed out that what described in the book BEILI RECORD by Sun Qi was the situation of Bei Li at the end of Tang Dynasty,not its usual situation as always.
