Emancipating the Mind, Seeking Truth from Facts and Opening up the New Prospect of the Socialist Cause

The Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh National Congress of the Communist Party of China raises the curtain on the reform and also reestablishes the historic position of emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts in the theory of knowledge and the theory of practice. For the past twenty years, the Chinese people have succeeded in using these truth and quintessence of the Scientific Marxism System and achieved "the economic marvel" that has been the focus of the world attention. Faced with the new tendency towards the fact that the world economy is carrried over to the next century and, especially, with the new challenge of the knowledge-economic era, we insist consistently on the ideological line of emancipating the ming and seeking truth from facts before we can open up the new prospect of the socialist cause down to earth and greatly foresighted.
