| Abstract: | As one of the best-known Chinese classics, the Romance of the Three Kingdoms concentrates its efforts all on portraying images of Cao Cao, Zhuge Liang, and Sima Yi successively in its track of development, none of whom, however, dominates the whole course of the novel. Cao Cao, ZhuGe Ling,and SiMa Yi were the predominant personalities in the different phases of this period of Chinese history, where as other contemporary figures helped merely to set off or highlight the three most influential of the day. |
