An Analysis on the Cultural Industry Policy of Thailand

In recent years, the development of the cultural industry of Thailand has made remarkable achievements which have caught the attention of the world. Therefore, it would be valuable to have a systematic and in - depth understanding of the tenet and principles of Thailand＇s promotion of the cultural industry and to study on the development strategy and supporting policies of Thailand＇s cultural industry. This article introduces the basic characteristics of the Thai culture, the definition and categorization of the cultural industry in Thailand, the policies and landmark projects supporting the development of the cultural industry of Thailand, with the aim to deepen the understanding of Thailand＇s cultural industry and to facilitate the development of the cultur- al industry of China. It also aims at promoting mutual understanding of the two peoples of China and Thailand and contributing to further deepening the Sino- Thai friendship.
