| Abstract: | The paper tries to present a comprehensive review and analysis of the issues of significance, of general interest, and of difficulty in the theoretical studies on the modern city history of China among the mainland academic circles. The author holds the view that the theoretical frame and research method of Chinese characteristics on the modern city history of China has taken shape through the efforts of numerous scholars. |
