古代希腊的城邦与宗教——以雅典为个案的探讨

希腊宗教常常被看成是一个具有内在一致性的崇拜体系。本文提出,希腊人的宗教崇拜实际上为城邦提供了基础。宗教崇拜在城邦政治共同体意识的型塑中起到了重要作用,城邦内部不同社会组织层面的宗教崇拜共同织造了城邦的社会与政治结构。反过来,宗教崇拜也是以城邦为基础的。城邦对所有宗教崇拜进行细致的管理,并且通过宗教崇拜表达其意识形态。因此,希腊宗教实质上是城邦宗教,宗教和政治是融为一体的。
