"新"与"旧"的纠缠——早期新诗合法性再认识

“新诗”外部空间合法性的争取,首先要面对的是古典诗歌传统投下的巨大阴影。胡适等人意识到,必须采取一种决绝的方式,才能为初生的“新诗”争得一席立足之地。这种决绝方式的具体体现,就是一方面断然宣布“旧诗”“死刑”,剥夺其合法性;另一方面,分别从创作实践和观念演绎两个向度,大力张扬“新诗”之“新”。而在这个过程中,反对派的声音始终是一个重要的存在。

To gain the legality of "new poetry" in outer surroundings, the largest barrier is the great shadow thrown by tradition of classical poetry. The pioneers in early new poetry, such as Hu Shi, realized that they must strive a standing room for primary "New Poetry" with a resolute way, which embodied on one hand, was to sentence " old poetry" to death definitely and to deprive its existing legality; on the other hand, was to preach of "new poetry" from two aspects of creative practice and idea deduction. However, the opposition always prevented this process.
