卢梭“公民宗教”思想探析

卢梭通过对整个西方基督教传统的检讨,提出了"公民宗教"的思想,其主要包括两方面内容:其一,宗教对一个政治体来说是必不可少的;其二,基督教本身并不适合作为"公民宗教".只有当一种宗教信仰本身不但能够重新树立起"仁慈的、全能的上帝"的至高权威,而且能够激发起人们对社会道德与自身职责的遵从和热爱的时候,才能作为真正意义上的"公民宗教"而确立起来.虽然公民宗教起着整合社会大众的精神和价值追求的作用,但其绝不游离于世俗社会之外,更不会与世俗的政治权力相对立.
