郑谷是唐末一位重要诗人,其诗作按内容基本可分两大类:反映个人仕途艰难与时代乱离的悲情诗;选择侣僧学禅、复归自然、赋诗饮酒等方式弥合悲情的避世诗,其中映射出诗人光辉的儒学品格.其诗风清新浅近,体现了他独特的艺术追求,具有较高的艺术价值,在唐末五代直至宋初影响颇深.

Zheng Gu and His Poetry

Zheng Gu was an important poet of the late Tang Dynasty. His poems can be divided into two types: those that describe the hardships of his official career and the disorder of the times, and those that describe how he made friends with the Buddhist monks and wrote poems while drinking. Plain and fresh in style, his poetry had an influence that lasted until the beginning of the Song Dynasty.
