客家普遍溯源于宁化石壁的文化意蕴

客家人的族谱大都记载先世来自中原，经由福建汀州、宁化石壁而转迁各地。这与史实不符，不能当作信史看待，但却包含着复杂而深刻的文化意蕴，可称之为“石壁现象”。“石壁现象”曲折反映了客家民系形成过程中，移民与土著之间的矛盾斗争和融合、同化。结果是强势文化在斗争和同化过程中起了主导作用，其中关键的因素是一元论的民族起源观点和根深蒂固的中原正统观念。正是这两种观念的交互作用，中华传统文化才得以从中原地区向周边地区不断扩展，汉族南方各民系才得以次第形成。

Cutural implications of the general acknowledgement of a key stop amidst the Hakkas' migration to be Shibi Village, Ninghua County, Fujian Province

It was recorded in most of the Hakkas' pedigrees that their forefathers migrated to various places where they are living from the Central Plains along the Huanghe River via Shibi Village, Ninghua County, Fujian Province. These records, however, are not too good to be true and therefore cannot be treated as an authentic historical account, but in them there is a complicated yet deep-going cultural implications that can be called the "Shibi phenomenon" which reflects in a zigzag way the contradictions and struggles as well as the mergence and assimilation between the immigrants and the original inhabitants in the course of the formation of the Hakka population. In time, the stronger culture got the upper hand in the course of struggles for assimilation as a result of the interaction of two key factors, namely, the view on the origin of nationality based upon monism and the deep-rooted belief that regards the Central Plains along the Huanghe River as legtimstic. It is the interplay of the two that leads to the incessant expansion of the traditional Chinese culture from the Central Plains along the Huanghe River to peripheral areas, thereby forming the various southern population subgroups of the Han nationality in succession.
