An Investigation of the Issue of Rural Women's Right of Land

Women’s right of land is a thorny issue of the countryside. It exists in three levels of macro institutional strategies, village and individual women. At present, the rural collective ownership, the system of family management and the long term policies of land renting rights contain the internal logic from which the issue of women's land right originated. The configuration of land resources within village and the non-agricultural development influenced the women's right of land. In the developed areas where farmers rely more on the land management for revenue, the problem of women's right of land is relatively severe. Women's marriage status determines the individual differences of the situations of women's right of land. Multiple channels should be opened to protect women's right of land.
