当代科学家的社会责任

科学家的社会责任在不同时代有不同的内容。当代科学家的社会责任,既包括探索自然规律,推动科学发展这一最为基本的传统内容,又有与时代发展有关的新内容。在科学成果的社会应用方面,科学家一要推动科学应用于人类的和平建设事业,二要避免科学应用可能带来的伦理冲突。在与非科学倾向的斗争中,纠正错误认识,弘扬科学精神,揭露和抵制伪科学,也是现代科学家义不容辞的社会责任。

Social Obligations of Contemporary Scientists

The social obligations of scientists vary from age to age. Those of contemporary scientists include both their traditional basic obligations to explore the natural laws so as to push forward the development of sciences, and the new ones in relation to the development of time. As to the social application of their scientific achievements, they should, first, promote science to be applied in the cause of peace construction for mankind; second, they should try their best to avoid the ethical conflicts brought about by the application of scientific achievements. It is, too, their unshirkable social obligations to oppose non-scientific trends, to rectify wrong conceptions, to carry forward scientific spirit and expose and counteract pseudo sciences.
