| 摘 要： | 小说《红色敞篷车》向读者展示了越战对印第安士兵及其家人的影响,反映了印第安人的生存状况。文章从三个方面分析了该小说的叙事策略,即小说与现实的一致性、象征与悬念的运用以及主人公的心理历程描写。小说作者正是通过这些叙事手法,以通俗的语言来表现严肃的主题。

| Abstract: | The Red Convertible presents readers a picture of the effects of the Vietnam War on American Indians and their families, which reacts the existing situation of American Indians. The paper analyses the effectiveness of writing techniques from three different angels:coincidence of the novel and reality; symbolism and foreshadowing; and Lyman's psychological experience. It is through these narrating techniques that the author of this novel presents the serious theme with popular language. |
