| Abstract: | This paper is attempting to analyze the formation and functions of English euphemism using the theories of modern linguistics.Through a quantity of examples the author comes to explain the rules intended for enhancing the cultural quality in one culture as well as cross-cultural quality in other cultures of language users. |
