The Creative Evolution Theory of George Bernard Shaw

This paper gives a brief account of the Creative Evolution theory of George Bernard Shaw, the causes of this theory being explained. The theory has been reflected in his political and literary works. According to the theory, there is a mysterious life force that urges all of the living things in the universe to advance forward so that they can reach a lofty goal, and men will eventually evolve into supermen, who will be able to solve many social problems beyond man's ability. In this evolution, women will play a more important role than men, and the former are more active in sexual activities than the latter, because they are the tools of the life force in the creation of supermen. Shaw believes that the present marriage system is an obstacle to the coming into being of supermen and it should be abolished.
