Studying the Social Pragmatic Function of Code-Switching from the Perspective of Inter-Cultural Communication

Code-Switching denotes more than two kinds of transitions of language variation.It is both a linguistic and social phenomenon.Recently,Code-switching has been paid more attention to in linguistic field.Many linguists have studied it from various perspectives,such as syntax、social linguistics、psychological linguistics and discourse analysis.This paper will probe the phenomenon of code-switching from a new viewintercultural communication.Although the syntax of code-switching is very simple,its social function is very rich and practical,namely it has some adaptability to＂ Face theory＂ 、language reality and social terms.
