董仲舒考补

董仲舒的生年应是在公元前 198年左右 ,其亲见四世 ,是见汉惠帝、文帝、景帝、武帝四世 ,他虽然生于汉高祖时代 ,因为年小 ,不能算又见一世 ;古代讲七十悬车致仕 ,不是准确的整七十岁 ,而是从七十到七十九岁都包括在内。董仲舒三年不窥的菜园应该在首都长安。董仲舒对策之年还是定于元光元年比较合理 ,其他说法不能解决的矛盾更多。董仲舒的墓在何处 ,还需要继续研究 ,难下定论。

A Supplementary Study of Dong Zhong-shu

Based on relevant study, the birthday of Dong Zhong shu should be around 198 A.D. and the emperors he had met in person should be Emperor Hui, Emperor Wen, Emperor Jing and Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty. Although he was born in the time of Emperor Gaozu's reign, he was too young to meet the emperor. Generally speaking people misunderstand the age referred in the old saying "one tends to resign in his seventies "as the exact "seventy", in fact it ranges from seventy to seventy nine. Moreover, the vegetable garden that Dong Zhongshu hadn't visited for three years should be in the capital Changan (nowadays Xian city). Furthermore it is more reasonable to claim that the first year of Yuanguang period as the time of Dong Zhongshu's offering his strategies, for there are much more unsolved disputes concerning other arguments. As for the site of Dong Zhongshu's tomb, it is still an issue of controversy and further study is needed.
