解放思想，实事求是是我党的思想路线，是党和国家永葆生机和活力、革命和建设事业不断取得胜利的重要法宝。实现新世纪的新任务，更需要坚持这一思想路线。要反对教条主义，进一步端正学风，坚持把马克思主义的基本原理同新时期建设有中国特色社会主义的具体实践相结合，着眼于对实际问题进行新的理论思考和概括；要反对官僚主义、形式主义，改进工作作风，牢固树立全心全意为人民服务的思想，求真务实，真抓实干；要勤于思考，勇于探索，善于创新，形成新认识，开辟新境界，实现新飞跃；要健全党内民主，完善社会主义法制，为坚持这一思想路线创造良好的民主氛围。

Emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts are the ideological line of the Communist Party of China and the main magic weapon to maintain its vigor and vitality and to assure the victory of our revolution and construction cause.In order to realize the new tasks of this new period,we should further adhere to this ideological line.We must fight against doctrinairism,correct the style of study,and combine the basic principle of Marxism with the practice of present socialist construction with Chinese characteristics,devoting ourselves to the new theoretical thinking and summarization to practical problems;we must oppose bureaucracy and formalism, improve the style of work, firmly adopt the idea of serving people wholeheartedly,be practical, and work in real earnest; we must think regularly,have the courage to explore,be good at making innovations,form new knowledge,hew out new realm,realize new leap,strengthen democracy inside the Party,consummate socialist legal system,create good democratic ambience for the adherence to this ideological line.
