摘    要:明中叶至清代,江南婚礼消费呈现的奢侈性、僭拟性、时尚性、两极化和亚文化差异等特征,既具有从物质匮乏社会向物质生活相对丰裕社会转型的时代特征,又表现出地缘性色彩。明中叶以降,江南商品经济长足发展是江南婚礼消费之呈上述特点的推进力量。生产决定消费,但消费也刺激生产。婚礼消费作为消费的主要方面,如过热就会造成社会财富的不合理浪费;但另一方面也刺激了江南商品生产,特别是消费性服务业的繁荣发展,增加了就业机会。

Abstract:From Mid Ming to Qing dynasty,wedding consumption in the south of the Yangtze River area presented the features such as universal luxury,over stepping,fashion,polarization and cultural discrepancy.Rapid development of merchandise economy of the south of the Yangtze River area since Mid Ming dynasty was the driving power of wedding consumption that produced above mentioned characteristics.Production decided consumption and consumption also stimulated production.As the major aspect of consumption,wedding consumption would cause the unreasonable waste of society wealth if it overheated.On the other hand,wedding consumption also stimulated merchandise production of the south of the Yangtze River area,especially the prosperous development of consumption service,and it also increased employment opportunity greatly.
