会话自我修正优先的语境因素

人类语言活动中存在会话修正的现象,在会话中又存在自我修正优先的倾向。从社会语言学角度来说,自我修正优先主要是由于说话者和受话者相互维护对方面子而决定的。然而由于不同因素的影响,在不同的语境中自我修正模式的频率或程度又存在一些差异。语境中话语方式,话语范围和话语基调这三个变量,具体到会话场合,谈论话题,以及交际双方的权势、距离、亲密度、社会地位、年龄、性别、文化背景等方面,都是导致具体的自我修正模式和频率的差异的因素。

Contextual Factors Leading to the Preference for Self-repair in Conversation

Conversational repair frequently occurs in human verbal communication and shows a structural preference for self-repair.Researches in sociolinguistics indicate the preference for self-repair reflects the principle of face-saving.But in different conversational context,various elements contribute to the difference in structure and frequency of self-repair.Field of discourse,tenor of discourse and mode of discourse are the three variables leading to the variation in self-repair,which can be further explored in subject matter;conversational setting;and different conditions of power,distance,intimacy,social status,age,gender,cultural background,etc.between speakers.
