The Development of the Chinese Central Autocratic System

The Chinese central autocratic system formed in a comparatively conservative country which owned a long agricultural civilization. It went through three stages: the forming period from Qin, Han Dynasties to Wei ,Jin and northern and Southern Dynasties; the developing period from Sui Tang to Song Yuan Dynasties; the strengthening period of the Ming,Qing Dynasties.The Chinese central autocratic system lasted more than 2000 years. It not only keeped the Chinese society in the long-term unity, but also made the Chinese society in the state of the stagnating for a long time. The invasions of the western imperialism powers shaked the legitimate foundation of this system. With the transformation for over 100 years, this system faded out of the history stage gradually.
