Review of the Behavior Genetics in the Past 200 Years

In the first 100 years, the genetics of behavior had proved that genes influence virtually every aspect of human personality, temperament, cognitive style, and psychiatric disorder. Yet in its second 100 years, as ignoring the critical importance of the brain, the environment, and gene expression networks, the studies has gotten off a less satisfying start. Human behaviors, and the brain circuits that produce them, are undoubtedly the product of intricate networks involving hundreds to thousands of genes working in concert with multiple developmental and environmental events. Further advances in the field will require the development of techniques.
