| Abstract: | Based on the provincial level panel data,this paper focuses on the impact of financial development on urban-rural income gap by manipulating the spatial econometrics.The study finds that 1% of financial development can enlarge the income gap by 0.15%.The paper also finds that economic development can narrow the income gap significantly both from direct and indirect perspectives.Finally,some suggestions are provided for policy making. |
